An opportunity for academic exchange among plastic surgeons in Korea
Dr. Taek Kyun Kim of THE PLUS Plastic Surgery attended the 32nd Spring Meeting of the Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons, held on May 10, 2026, at Plenti Convention, Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital.
The meeting brings plastic surgeons in Korea together to share clinical experience with a variety of surgical and nonsurgical procedures, recent research findings and considerations relevant to medical practice.
Why participation in academic meetings matters
The healthcare environment and surgical techniques continue to evolve. New approaches are introduced, while research also sheds light on the long-term outcomes and precautions associated with established procedures.
At academic meetings, clinicians share cases and techniques from their own practice and exchange views from different perspectives.
This process helps them reassess the methods they have used and identify areas that need attention to improve patient safety.
Connecting research and academic exchange with patient care
Attendance at an academic meeting alone does not guarantee a particular surgical outcome. What matters is how the knowledge and discussions gained through academic activities are evaluated and applied in clinical practice.
THE PLUS Plastic Surgery places importance on developing an appropriate surgical plan after thoroughly assessing each patient’s facial anatomy, surgical history, desired changes and functional concerns.
We will continue to participate in academic meetings and research activities in Korea and overseas, working toward more careful and systematic patient care.
